THE BESPOKE EXPERIENCE
A ‘Rendez-Vous’ with Meerson, also known as an RDV begins with a private consultation where he takes note of the passions, sense of style and story he must re-imagine. At this early stage decisions are made to customise from the current line or to commission a completely one-off bespoke timepiece. He is a master of extreme bespoke detailing from his invention of the time change function of the D15 to the asymmetrical Dauphine hands.
There is a risk to scarcity in that the average buyer for the most part opts for the well-trodden path of mass produced luxury to express their taste but just as wine makers produce a vintage each year which is then lauded for years to come, Meerson’s bespoke pieces represent the haute couture of watch making. He hears what he calls ‘the music’ during an RDV session where the watch takes shape and he turns desire into design. The piece is then lovingly crafted with human hands as expert senses judge weight and balance before a new Meerson is born.

These watches can be customised in store or with a sales consultant and are made to order utilising a vast array of materials and colours. Dial colours, strap size and style, case finish and engraving fall within this option as applied to the current collections.
Exceptional Pieces
The RDV experience involves founder and creative director Alexandre Meerson attending a private appointment to craft a custom-made watch for the client. During this process, the lines and silhouettes of the brand are mined as a starting point or canvas for every unique piece. Collectors have been known to commission entire collections within an experience that is reserved for flagship retailers only.
